The Ulladulla High School under 15s netball team went toe-to-toe with 15 other teams at the knockout finals held at Illawarra Sports Stadium, Berkeley on May 8 and 9.
Alivia Brown, Taylah Afflick, Holly Nowland, Mia Clough, Ellie Brophy, Maddie Sharp, Mia Fegent, Mikaela Lochrin and Abbey James tackled the “best of the best” and represented the school in a tremendous manner, co-coach and teacher Jacki Morgan said.
The girls were competitive against all teams and Mrs Morgan said she was “proud” of the team.
“It’s just such a good achievement, personally, for the girls,” Mrs Morgan said.
“The school is really proud of their achievements on the court and the way they conducted themselves, their sportsmanship, teamwork, positivity, determination and never give up attitude.”
The girls progressed to the knockout after winning the zone competition and finishing second at the regional level, which includes schools from the Illawarra to Bega to the Southern Highlands.
Mrs Morgan praised co-coach Michelle Hendrie for her support and the parents who stayed and assisted in many capacities at the knockout.
