Ulladulla was abuzz mid-week, when word got out that a landmark property which had not been on the market for more than 150 years was up for sale. The property, stretching from the corner of Wason Street and the Princes Highway down to diagonally opposite the new Pier 32 development, could be transformed into a major development, depending on the buyer.

Another transformation we’re keen to see is the phasing out of single-use plastics and other wasteful packaging from our supermarkets. As local environment campaigner Monica Mudge says, it’s a step in the right direction.

Some good news on the crime front this week, with the arrest of a Moruya man over thefts in the Milton-Ulladulla area. The advice from the police, however, is don’t be complacent. Lock your house and vehicles and don’t leave valuables in plain sight.
