Shortly after 3pm on Sunday, June 10, the white hatchback was travelling south on the Princes Highway when the driver lost control, veered through a guard rail and landed in Lake Tabourie.
One of the vehicles first on the scene had a Batemans Bay Surf Life Saving Club member inside, who jumped into action.
Along with others, the man pulled the couple from the vehicle before police arrived on scene.
The man suffered a cut to this head, while the woman was treated for shock.
