The under 11s Ulladulla Dockers took on the Batmens Bay Seahawks at home on Sunday. Cold and windy conditions made it difficult for footy but to the players credit they fought hard to stay in the contest with the well-skilled Bay side.

The first quarter was a tight encounter with some great footy from both sides, the bay up 14 to 8. After a quick team talk, we went into the second full of confidence. With the wind in our favour we took full advantage, kicking two goals and one behind. Our forwards kicked some fantastic goals to give us a 21 to 16 lead at halftime.
The third quarter was tough and we struggled to stay in the fight, we tried hard and our back line was tested. The bay held us down in our back field for what seemed like an eternity kicking their way in front 34 to 21. The final quarter was nail biting. The game came down to the wire after Lachlan kicked an impressive six-pointer and lifting Dockers’ spirits. But it wasn’t enough - just going down at the final bell 4-10-34 4-4-28
Well done Dockers in a great game of footy. Special mention to Tim and Oscar playing up from the under 9s. Also to Indi our big ruckman player of the game. See u all Thursday for training.
