More than 30 volunteers attended the annual afternoon tea celebration at the Uniting Church Hall in Ulladulla on Wednesday, where they were entertained by a skit and satirical letters to the editor before tucking into an array of treats on offer.
The group has 60 volunteers, who are a mix of Uniting Church members and residents of the community, on its books and many had the chance to talk and catch up after formalities ended.
The Outreach Centre in Ulladulla supports a student of Ulladulla High School with a scholarship each year, donates items and clothes to various groups such as the Ulladulla resource centre, Sarah Claydon Care Centre and a homeless men’s centre in Sydney.
A soup and slice event will be held at the Uniting Church Hall on July 4 with all donations for the Milton Cancer House.
