Personal trainers Cian Maciejewski and Tiarna Grzona will star under the bright lights in Tuesday’s episode of Australian Ninja Warrior on Channel 9.
While the pair could not reveal what happened, both were amazed at the atmosphere and performances during filming.
“The adrenaline is just going the whole time you are there,” Ms Grzona said.
“You’re so excited, you’ve got all these other ninjas around and everyone is pumped. The energy is electric all day.”
“I went in there for us. But, when you get there you realise it’s about everyone else too,” Ms Maciejewski said.
“Really, the camaraderie, the team work, the high fives, when someone came off, the devastation for them. It’s everything, every emotion was felt.”
Ms Grzona said she had watched the American version of the show and the appeal of the extremely difficult obstacle course caught her eye.
“It just looked like a giant kids’ playground I just wanted to play on, and really push my body to some new limits,” Ms Grzona said.
Ms Maciejewski said her partner got her into the idea of competing in the competition. However, the pair were too busy with their business to enter the first competition. When the second season was announced, Ms Maciejewski said “let’s do it, we’ll support each other.”
While the couple are fitness coaches, they wanted to get niche gymnastics-type training in the lead up to the show, so they sought Mollymook calisthenics trainer Moo Dath to improve their swinging technique.
“We’re coaches, but every coach needs a coach,” Ms Maciejewski said.
The couple said their clients were just as excited as them to watch the episode.
“They’ve told us to cancel our classes next Tuesday when we are going to be on TV, so they can sit down and watch it,” Ms Grzona said.
Catch how they perform from 7.30pm on Channel 9 on July 10.
