Logie-award winning actor and author Peter Phelps will talk about his new book, The Bulldog Track, during a long table lunch at Rick Stein at Bannisters restaurant on Thursday, August 23.
Phelps’ new book tells the story of his grandfather, Tom Phelps, who worked as a carpenter in Papua New Guinea during 1942 and was caught in the Japanese invasion of the island during World War Two.
Tom’s wife and four children were told he was dead, but he would eventually make it back home to Sydney with an unforgettable tale of survival and resilience.
Entry is $80 and your ticket includes a two-course meal and a complimentary glass of bubbles.
