The Reel Escape Short Film Festival promises to showcase “incredible talent” when it is screened at the theatre on Saturday, August 25.
Doors will open at 6.30pm for the screening, which will be followed by a short presentation to winning entrants.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at, www.southcoasttickets.com.au/events/reel-escape-2018/.
Most of this year’s film makers are young adults with fresh perspectives and film content.
”Young enthusiastic film watchers, content creators and future film makers be sure not to miss this year’s exciting Reel Escape Film Festival to see what your peers are achieving,” organiser Kara Payne said.
The theme for the competition is ‘water’.
“Budgets for this year’s films range from $300 to $35,000 and have been submitted by student film makers to large production companies,” Ms Payne said.
“They range from drama, sci-fi, thriller to animation.”
There will be 7 films screened on the night.
This year’s festival guests are David Hoey and Nicholas Burton, two young film makers who have solely funded and created an exciting new web series which premiers on August 23 and has received global interest and critical acclaim.
These co-creators and directors will give an exciting address as well as screening an episode from ‘Dave & Theo’.
