Bending for Bales will be a yoga class hosted by a local instructor that will raise funds for the Buy a Bale campaign.
Yoga teacher Chantal Pierce said the class was open to people of all skill levels and the event was about getting members of the community involved in an event that gives back to farmers.
Ms Pierce grew up on a farm and recalled how tough it was droving her families’ stock across NSW in 2005.
“Growing up on a farm is hard work without having to buy additional hay or relying on the weather to support your livelihood,” Ms Pierce said.
“It hits home when you know how devastating [a drought] can be.”
Bending for Bales will be held at Harvest Bar on Sunday, August 26, from 8am. Tickets to the class are $30 and can be purchased from Om Sweet Om Milton yoga studio or Harvest Bar.
