Nathan has worked at his game over the years to become an outstanding horseman as well as an extremely skilled player. The addition of his horse Federal Park Trek this season has seen both horse and rider become a mesmerising combination on the field.
Nathan has represented NSW on seven different occasions, in 2016 being selected to play in New Zealand in a junior team. He first represented NSW in this division playing in Sydney against an Australian squad with outstanding results. Nathan first was selected to play for NSW in the under 12 team, travelling to Warwick in Queensland. With his horse Trek, Nathan has earned the title of Best Horse and Rider at the Milton Carnival, which is a huge honour with many capable horse and riders vying for the title. Nathan also was first reserve for the junior team which competed in Albury in 2016.
Federal Park Trek, as a nine-year-old horse, has shown that he has many years of great polocrosse ahead. The Shea family have been riding Trek’s half brother for the last seven years and bought Trek with the hope that he would be as capable. Certainly expectations have been surpassed.
Nathan has travelled to carnivals within our zone as well as further afield to work at improving his game and give himself the opportunity to play against a wide range of players and talent.
