A recent collaboration between Claydon Park and Tallwood saw a long lunch put on for about 100 people, with the $1400 raised given to the Cancer Outpatients Appeal.
COA President Peter Still said the money would go towards purchasing new chairs for the Milton Cancer Centre.
“The current chairs, which are 10 years old, need to be replaced but four new ones come at a cost of about $20,000,” he said.
“The Cancer Outpatients Appeal really depends on the generosity of the community and we are thankful for the donation.”
Tallwood owner Matt Upson said the event was to raise money, but also to display what could be made from Claydon Park produce.
“It is the first time we have done it, but we hope to do it again,” he said.
“All the beef, pork and vegetables used were from Claydon Park.”
The lunch included music by Roddy Reason, and bush poetry from a Moree poet.
Karen Riley from Claydon Park said people from as far as Sydney attended the event.
“The COA is such a good charity, and we would like to help them out again,” she said.
