Councillors elected for their peers to remain in their respective positions for 2018/19 at the ordinary meeting on Tuesday night.
Councillors were elected in their respective positions in an open vote (show of hands).
As per standard procedure for a regional council of its size, Shoalhaven Council appoints an assistant deputy mayor who may exercise the function of deputy mayor if they are prevented by illness, absence or otherwise from exercising the function of the deputy mayor.
Under the provisions of section 231 of the Local Government Act 1993 the councillors each year elect a councillor to the position of Deputy Mayor.
Mayor Amanda Findley congratulated Councillors White and Pakes on their reappointment.
