St. Mary’s principal Nicole Van Ingen and assistant principal Johanna Kane were successful in obtaining a co-principalship at Holy Trinity Primary School, Wagga Wagga.
They will take up this new joint role from the beginning of 2019.
Since taking up leadership responsibilities at St Mary's both Mrs Van Ingen and Mrs Kane have significantly promoted the Catholic identity and mission of the school within and beyond the Milton-Ulladulla community, and both have worked tirelessly to foster a culture of quality teaching and learning.
To cater for the diverse needs of the students, Mrs Van Ingen and Mrs Kane have also worked with the staff and parents to strengthen the pastoral care programs at the school through the networks they have established with external providers and community agencies.
In acknowledging the loss of this dedication and combined 40 years of educational experience from the diocese, both teachers are continuing in Catholic school leadership in Wagga Wagga.
The school congratulated Mrs Van Ingen and Mrs Kane on gaining the co-principal position and thanked both educators for the wonderfully enriching contributions they have made to the community of Milton and to the Diocese of Wollongong.
A Mass of Thanksgiving and Farewell to acknowledge the pair’s contribution will be held on Friday, December 14 at 9.30am followed by a cup of tea.
Members of the community and past students are welcome to attend.
