Hosted at the The Federal Golf Club at the weekend, the 18-year-old finished eighth overall, behind winner Grace Kim – with a total of 300, thanks to rounds of 74, 75, 76 and 75.
“I was hitting the ball well all tournament but just couldn’t score,” Bennett said.
"My putting was my main issue all weekend.
“The result was not too bad but not my best – had a lot of fun and made some new friends, which was great.”
Bennett, who is now based at Sydney’s St Michaels Golf Club, knows what she needs to work on ahead of her upcoming competitions.
“I really need to work on both my putting and chipping,” she said.
“Improving both of them would help me get it closer to the pin consistently – which is crucial for me to achieve the results I want to.”
Bennett is next off to Melbourne for the Dunes Medal, held from November 27-30, before jetting off to the United States next month to compete at the Junior World Series.
