Canberra Nippers train once per week at the Canberra Olympic Pool and travel to the South Coast for training one weekend a month.
The Canberra club had partnered with Broulee Surfers Surf Lifesaving Club previously. Due to growth Mollymook and Canberra have also formed a partnership, so the children do not miss out on beach safety education.
Club officials and volunteers were on-hand to welcome about 40 Canberra Nippers on Sunday. Mollymook has 120 registered for its 2018/19 program.
More than 20 water safety volunteers guided the Nippers through board activities while sprint champions Sam Zustovich, Brock Scrivener and Kate Lewis went through the basics of beach sports with the future lifesavers.
