South Coast MP Shelly Hancock and councillor Jo Gash were guests at Mollymook View Club’s Christmas luncheon.

Sixty-five members and guests from Milton/Ulladulla Day View Club, Clyde River Day View Club, St Georges Basin Day View Club and Ulladulla Evening View Club attended the event held at Mollymook Beach Bowling Club on December 10.
Audrey Stuart and 10 of the Acappella singers also entertained with a variety of songs and carols.
The member’s and guests had donated a total of 21 raffle prizes and many lucky door prizes which were won by a variety of members and visiting guests. Scone lady Gloria Turner excelled herself with making scones and mince pies and raising money for our students.
The trading table was “beautifully stocked” once again by Jan Facenfield and Christine Richards.
Mrs Hancock and Ms Gash presented certificates of appreciation to Jan Facenfield, Chris Richards, Jean Price, Helen Millington and Pattie Ryan for their many years of hard work on committee.
Lisa Horne from Green Street Ulladulla Nursery was presented with a certificate for her generous donations of plants throughout 20 years.
Throughout the year Mollymook View Club has raised a substantial amount of money to pay for four students Learning for Life Scholarships, they have supported the Smith Family Winter Appeal and Christmas Toy and Book Appeal.
They have also donated to the Ulladulla High School. Along with many interesting speakers and being looked after by the friendly staff of Mollymook Beach Bowling Club and chef’s and waitress from Jack’s on the Green the members now look forward to another year of fun and friendship.
To do this a new committee will need to be elected at the AGM on February 11 starting at 11am at the Mollymook Beach Bowling club.
Mrs Hancock and Ms Gash praised president Fay and treasurer Mary, who are stepping down from their roles, for their hard work and many years of dedicated service.
Fay thanked her small committee of Mary Campey, Pattie Ryan, Kath Ling, and Helen Millington who have worked hard throughout the year and left this thought for all.
“The one who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree. So celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and embrace the warmth of your closest ones this Christmas,” Fay said.
