Over the past two years Noel Turnbull and John Morrison have gathered archival information to present a feature length film.
Film maker John Morrison said the film highlights the rich history of the area, the film takes you on a nostalgic journey, meeting and interviewing Milton locals and legends. It shows them working side by side and competing to show off skills that are generations in the making.
“It’s from the days when locals happily survived with very little by today's standards, but they were happy and healthy,” he said.
John said the film covers all aspects of the show from all the field events, entertainment, attractions and the amazing displays in the pavilions.
The film will be screened at Milton Theatre on Saturday, February 2, at 7.30. The bar will be open at 7pm.
Tickets are $12 and can be bought at the door or at Milton Florist. You can buy a DVD on the night or preorder at thump@tpg.com.au
