The ACT Region Masters League 2019 Throwdown will be hosted by Crossfit Huey in Ulladulla on Saturday, February 9.
Athletes aged 35 years and older, from Albury, Wodonga, Canberra, and the South Coast, including 10 from the Milton-Ulladulla district will put their skills to the test in a range of weightlifting and endurance events including the first beach Workout of the Day (WOD) in masters’ league history.
Crossfit Huey owner Mel Van Antwerpen encouraged Milton-Ulladulla residents to attend and watch intermediate and advanced-level athletes, including some in a 60-plus category, push their bodies to the limit.
“Spectators are more than welcome,” she said.
Ms Van Antwerpen said the group will pay tribute to late member Garry Evans, who was “always a part of the Crossfit community.”
