On Saturday, February 9, entrants in both competitions were introduced at a cocktail evening at the Ulladulla Civic Centre.
Gilmore independent candidate Grant Schultz praised the “inspiring” teen showgirl entrants in the 150th Milton Show.
“Amongst them are a clarinet player, an aspiring pastry chef, a champion dressage rider and a surf lifesaver,” Mr Schultz said.
“Fantastic to see our young people taking the opportunity to be ambassadors for their rural communities.”
Milton Showground Committee president Rachel Martin said the new format worked well and allowed guests to mingle and chat.
“The night was a great success,” she said.
“The girls all looked great, inspirational. Very hard to pick a winner, they are all very talented young ladies.”
The winner will be announced at 2pm on Saturday, March 2 at the 150th Milton Show.
