A cyclone off the coast of Queensland will produce hazardous conditions on the coast of NSW.
In the Shoalhaven, four to six foot swells are forecast for Sunday and Monday.
It's set to drop off slightly through the week to four foot.
On Saturday afternoon the Bureau of Meterology issued a warning for Sunday for the Byron Coast, Coffs Coast, Macquarie Coast, Hunter Coast and Sydney Coast.
In these areas, surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming.
Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
Surf Life Saving NSW recommends only swimming at patrolled beaches and between the red and yellow flags.
