Two cars have been stolen locally in the last week. One from a private residence and one from a business.
In the off chance of sounding like a broken record, please be aware of car security.
Not that this was the case in these two instances but ensure your car is locked when you’re not using it.
Even when it's parked in your garage.
Also a reminder when you are out and about to remove your valuables, don’t leave your purse, wallet or mobile phone in your car - it is just making it an easy target!.
Don’t leave the car keys in the ignition and the door unlocked (yes it happens).
Crooks are always on the look out for an easy opportunity to take your valuables.
Sure enjoy a drink but behave - If you are out and about this weekend at local pubs, clubs and or restaurants, please keep in mind that if you play up due to intoxication through alcohol or drugs you could look forward to either a $550 fines or a court attendance notice.
Police are not against people having fun in the community but a great night can unfortunately be ruined by some irresponsible behaviour.
Shoalhaven Police will not tolerate anti-social behavior in licensed premises or on our streets.
If you are asked to leave a licensed establishment, comply or it could end up in a fine and a visit to court.
Drink responsibly and have a good weekend.
Dob in a Dealer - Also a reminder the local Dob in a Dealer program is underway in the South Coast Police District.
South Coast is one of 14 locations across NSW, aimed at mobilising members of the public in the fight against illicit drugs, aimed at stopping the supply of illicit drugs including methylamphetamine (ice), cocaine, MDMA, heroin and cannabis.
The campaign is designed to encourage members of the public to come forward with any information that can assist us in identifying any drug networks, any people selling, supplying or manufacturing drugs in the area.
Any information, no matter how small you might think it is, could be the missing piece of the puzzle officers have been looking for.
If you have information about someone in your community who is manufacturing or supplying drugs, it’s simple - call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. All information is confidential.
As always, in case of an emergency call 000. In non-emergencies call the Policelink on 131 444 or your local police station. To provide anonymous information call Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000. For domestic and family violence information, visit www.police.nsw.gov.au. For Shoalhaven Domestic Violence officers call 4421 9666 or 4421 9665 or email shoaldvlo@police.nsw.gov.au.
Don’t forget, cops are tops.
