Shoalhaven City Council is hosting a compost workshop to show just how easy it is to transform household waste into quality compost, you can use in your own garden to improve soil health.
The free three-hour workshop, to be held in Ulladulla on Saturday, March 9, is suitable for all, from beginners to accomplished composters looking to improve their skills.
Once you've finished the workshop, council will give you a validated 'compost coupon' which entitles you to receive one free compost bin set.
The set includes one small kitchen scraps/tidy bin and one compost bin and be collected from West Nowra, Huskisson or Ulladulla Recycling and Waste Depots.
Bookings are essential. The workshop will be held at council's administration offices, 14 Deering Street.
