While Tilly did her usual 10km warm up, the rest of us participated in the usual banter (Happy Birthday Steve) and obligatory photo - see above.
The group then headed off for varying run and walks from 8km to 20km distances.
Welcome back to our frequent visitors Geoff and Vivian and its was a nice surprise to get a visit from Rhonda, our international guest.
It was a perfect morning for running and a great time was had by all.
Special mention to Dave’s Penguin Award; it was just a pity nobody saw and he refused to repeat the stunt.
Georgia and Paul also took the dummy from Woody and went to the wrong starting venue, but then had the audacity to crow about their record-breaking but unverified runs.
Coffee was at the Duke and Co and then for the stayers it was off to catch the latest jazz sensation at Cupitts.
All in all a great morning was had by all.
Congratulations to Marty still waving the international Rats flag coming in 6th outright and setting a new age record (60-64) of 21.37 in the Taman Pudu Ulu Parkrun, Singapore.
Another great run Marty in very hot conditions!
The Rats would also like to wish Craig Hancock every success next weekend in the 110km Blayney 2 Bathurst cycle race.
We are in no doubt you will do us proud with your current level of fitness and enthusiasm!
Next Sunday’s run – March 17: Please meet at the Lions Park Burrill Lake at 6.30am for a reverse Dolphin Point/Lake run. Varied distances from 10km approx.
