The auction will be held at the poultry pavilion at the Nowra Showground.
The fundraising event aims to raise money for new lighting and fans for the shed, to keep it cooler, especially through the hotter weather as experienced around Nowra Show time.
The auction will be held from 10am to 1pm with around 500 birds expected to go under the hammer.

Club secretary Louise Giles said the auction would attract both show quality birds and backyard layers.
“There will be something for everyone,” she said.
“And we will have a variety of water fowl.”

To sell chickens at the auction you must be a member of the Nowra Poultry Club and there will be a $2 penning fee per bird.
As well as the auction the club will also have information available on how to keep backyard layers through to showing birds.
There will also be a sausage sizzle and a coffee van.
The Nowra Poultry Club meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Nowra Showground poultry pavillion from 7pm. New members are always welcome.
