NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service updated its alerts system on Wednesday, March 13 to advise the public Termeil Point, Suburnt and Meroo Head campgrounds are closed, as are Blackbutt and Meroo Point Roads.
The closure will remain in place until Monday, March 18 when it will be reviewed.
The bushfire, which started on the southern side of the lake, skipped to the northern side in the early hours of Wednesday, March 6. Crews worked extensively through the night to contain the northern division of the fire, which potentially threatened Lake Tabourie.
Backburning operations were conducted last week as Rural Fire Service, NPWS and aviation resources were working on blacking out the blaze.
