A total of 68 people from five local churches attended the service, which was led by Rev Dr Les Hewitt from the Uniting church.
Father Michael was also a welcome guest.
The women from Slovenia prepared the service, which is held each year on the first Friday in March.
This year’s theme was “come-everything is ready” and based on the reading from the New Testament Luke 14:15-24.
The women from the local Catholic, Anglican, Baptist, Uniting and Presbyterian churches all took part in the service.
The soloist, Merinda Antill, from the Uniting Church gave an inspiring rendition of The Potters Hand, lyrics by Darlene Zschech.
Rev Dr Les Hewitt was an inspirational speaker and prepared a colourful powerpoint to highlight the country Slovenia.
Rev Les led the commissioning for the 2020 service, the country Zimbabwe.
Mary Dunstan, on behalf of the Ulladulla Family Catholic Church who will host next year WDP, received the documents.
The service was followed by morning tea, prepared by the reaching Out Group from the Uniting Church.
To add to the theme of the day Christine Grimaldi baked a Slovenia national cake, Potica and Judy Germon baked a Licitar, a colourful heart-shaped biscuit with red icing and decorated with a white carnation.
The colours come from Slovenian folk embroidery, red and white.
These items along with grapes, representing the country’s wine growing industry, made a colourful display on a red with white hand embroidered tablecloth.
The offering, $461.00 goes to the WDP that supports the programs identified in Slovenia.
Thank you to all who came and made this day a great success.
