Milton Ulladulla Junior Doggies
What a great weekend of junior league last weekend was, the weather was fantastic and all of our teams are doing their best both on and off the field, we re so proud of you all. Enjoy your Easter weekend off and we look forward to seeing you all again in the red, white blue on Saturday 27th April.
On Thursday 18th April we are hosting a kids disco at the Ex Servos function centre for all boys and girls aged 3 - 12yrs of age, the night will include an Easter Egg hunt with all proceeds going to the Junior Doggies.
Before the chill hits why not show your support of our Junior Doggies in club merchandise, it is available from the canteen on training and match days, we have hoodies from size 4 to 3XL (larger sizes available by request), polos from size 6 to 4XL, training shorts, hats, gear bags, spare previous season shorts and socks.
Our weekly meat raffles at the Ex Servos continue each week, we ask a team and their families to come along and support and assist us with the raffles, shortly a team roster will be released where the club asked a team each week to come along and help us run the raffle. Ticket sales commence at 6pm, with the draw for the 40+ meat trays commencing at 7pm. By supporting our raffles you in turn are supporting our major sponsor Ulladulla Ex Servos, the club has lots to offer on Friday night apart from our raffles, there is the kids club, dining in their new Southside Restaurant, Friday night footy live on the big screen and live entertainment.
The club would like to thank our major sponsor Milton Ulladulla Ex Servos for all their support. The club looks forward to proudly representing all of our sponsors this season and thank you all for your support of junior rugby league in the Milton Ulladulla area.
Keep up to date on all things Junior Doggies via Facebook and our website.
What a terrific game for under 9's Blues vs the Basin, the boys brought everything they had with them all making terrific defence and Joseph Salafia scoring himself 6 tries along with Jett Smith scoring first try for the season along with a conversion straight after.
Ryan Hasler was first up in defence with Finn Bradley coming out of his shell and making quite a few breaks for the try line. Connor Pike did great defence work and enjoying getting in all the tackles.
Alex Morris was a little pocket rocket in nearly every tackle and making a few breaks for that try line as well. Kade Bond made a lot of dives for other players, slowing them down with back-up from his team members.
It's Mikey Rowbotham's first season with the Doggies and he's already off to a great start tackling and making a few great runs.
They worked terrifically as a team and were very impressive with their strategies on the field. A very proud coach is looking forward to a killer season, bring it on!
This week saw our first road trip for the season which took us to sunny St Georges Basin. The under 8 reds continued their form from round 1, running out with a 40-10 victory over the home side.
Basin were a good team and kept our boys on their toes all game. The boys are really starting to work well as a team and this was reflected in the score line this week.
We saw some great tackles from Brooklyn, Mitch and Kyle, and some awesome hit ups from Seth and Zeke.
Hard luck story of the day has to go to Tyson, who made a length of the field run only to be held up and stripped of the ball over the line.
Tries this week went to Kyle (3) Mitch (2) Zeke (1) Zeb (1) and Tyson (1)
Goals were kicked by Brooklyn, Ty, Kyle and Seth.
