Twenty five Roadrunners spent Easter Sunday playing social bowls last weekend. Four games of triples were played with the following results: Sue Dent/Dot Pannowitz, Jeff Deal and Paul Barnes 27 overcame Keith Gregory, Mike Lynn and Roy Booth 25. Gary Wisniewski, Col Milligan and Jack Field 28 saw off Graham Corby, Geoff Watson and Trish Moy 16. Bob Brooks, Judy Henderson and Gordon Lang 43 outplayed Ralph Gabbott, J. Cummings and Craig Lees 8. Lyn Dobell, Diane Field and Tony Hutchins 38 defeated Cathy Wisniewski, Robin Oke and Peter Champion 8.
The lucky rink of Sue Dent/Dot Pannowitz, Jeff Deal and Paul Barnes won the fresh chickens while the lucky losers, Cathy Wisniewski, Robin Oke and Peter Champion got half their green fees back.
Raffle winners included: Diane Field, Peter Champion, Keith Gregory, Gordon Lang, Lyn Dobell, Tony Hutchins and Mike Lynn.
Next Sunday we will be contesting our $300 jackpot with lunch to follow with the cards being called for an 9.00 start.
Mollymook Men
Easter meant no pennants games & a well earned break for dozens of teams before the last few matches.
Cards for two Presidents Pairs games of Round 2 showed Craig Lees & Mark Sommerville, starting on 126 narrowly defeat Terry Hill & Mike Keegan (124), score 0/10.
The other match saw the Wynter brothers (129) outlast the fast finishing Gary McGuire & Dave Harrison (134) to win by 20 points.
The main social event for the month, the Nominated Triples jackpot day had 60 bowlers contest the jackpot after another gourmet barbecue.
Visitors from L.Conjola & Milton-Ulladulla were warmly welcomed. The jackpot was not won & will rise by $60 per month to be more easily divisible by three for future lucky winners. It will be $120 next month. Dave Clark, young Ivan & the Beaver won the $20 lucky rink vouchers.
Friday's Open Pairs welcomed new player Robin Chave to the green & were in awe of Kerrie & Chris Machon's matching uniforms! The $720 jackpot was not won but Wallie & Rich had their fingers crossed. The weekly $120 prize went to Tony Hutchins & Ron Wynter with 11 points playing (and sharing) with Robin & Snow. Mark's H.B Shout was claimed by Terry Hill & Brian Thurecht & the KENO voucher went to Judy Thurecht & Mike Hayes.
Golf
Mollymook Hilltop
Looking back at the past week of golf at Mollymook Hilltop Golf Club, the course conditions are excellent.
Sunday saw Declan Mulvaney win the Men's Individual with 42 points and Ross Hughes the ladies' with 31 points.
On Monday 15 April, Mollymook hosted the Vets 2 person Ambrose event against Kiama. Local boys Robert Roadcap and Andrew Granger won the day with a score of 63.25
Tuesday the ladies had a team event with the winners being Ross Hughes and Gloria Chapman with a score of 45 points.
On Wednesday Fred Corben won the single stroke event with a Nett score of 68
Thursday Blake Halls and Nicholas Heath (Mollymook trainee) won the Men's 2 person ambrose event with an impressive score of 61.75. Kristine Harrod and Jan Tanko won the Ladies' 2 person ambrose with a score of 72
Easter Saturday we welcomed a massive field of 157 players to the Stableford event.
Men's A Grade was won by Zoran Ninovic with 40 points, in B Grade Stephen Rimmer took pole position with 39 points and C Grade got scooped up by Jay McCabe with a smashing 45 points. Ross Hughes won the ladies division with 36 points
Easter continues to be a very busy period for Mollymook Golf Club and we welcome all visitors to our course whenever they have a change to play.

Mollymook Beachside Veterans
On Wednesday 17th April, 44 Beachside Veteran golfers played a Stroke Event for the second and final round of the Championships.
Winning the day was Brian Morrison with 29 nett; on a count-back from second place Stig Anderson, while third place went to Terry Barrett who scored 30 nett.
The overall Beachside Veterans Championship was won by Jim Smith who scored 82 over the 2 weeks, while there was a three-way tie for second place being Danny Fleming, Tanzi Lea and Butch May, who all scored 83.
Beachside handicap Champions were Terry Barrett 91 net 58; Brian Morrison 88 net 60; and Jim Smith on a count-back 82 net 60. Congratulations to all these gentlemen.
Balls were given out for scores up to 34 nett, with Wildcards going to Ken Venables and Cliff Workman.
Nearest the Pins were awarded to Michael McKercher on the 2nd, Ted Clarke, a visitor from Tumut, on both the 6th and 9th, and Mark Hardwick on the 7th.

Fishos def Devils 10 games to 1. Joe McDowell and Daniel Kennedy-Young had five finishes and Joe and John West had the high score of 140.For Devils Elissa Allard had two finishes and Darren Ralph had the high score of 125.
Misfits def Taipans 8 games to 3. Trevor Bloxsome had the maximum six finishes and Robert Webb had the high score of 108. For Taipans Kate Watson, John Perrin and Kaylene Hackett had two finishes and Kaylene had the high score of 171.
Eagles def Squaws 8 games to 3. Matt Craig and Georgie Vider had five finishes and both shared the high score of 140 with Ian Green. Kelly Hogan and Gloria Liddicoat won their singles. Kay Dowell had the high score of an excellent 180.
Mohawks def Marlins 7 games to 4. Duane Lichtendaul had four finishes, with one being a 136 peg, he also shared the high score of 180 with Nathan Simpson. For Marlins Phil Reeves had four finishes. Kevin Flanagan and Peter Wood had the high score of 180.
