Jennifer Bevan's father John 'Bill' Bevan passed away last year. She received some items from her sister, but hadn't looked through the photo albums until last week.
Ms Bevan was shocked to find her father had kept so many family photos, but one image stood out to her.
Near the front of the album, which included Bill's enlistment information and marriage certificate, was a timeless photograph depicting an Anzac Day march in Milton.
Behind the marching men and nurses Turnbull's Cakes and Pies store can be seen with a dining saloon pictured further along the road.
"I was fascinated by the buildings," she said.
'Bill' was discharged from the AIF on June 24, 1946. She described him as a "big, strong country man" with a talent for cooking.
