Now in its second year, the 2019 Gold Buckle will be hosted on the grounds of Willinga Park, a world-class equestrian centre set on 2000 acres of the NSW South Coast in the seaside town of Bawley Point from May 16 to 18.
It's been called the best equine facility in the Southern Hemisphere and combines stunning architecture, sculptures, and a native botanical garden, with the latest in equine technology, luxury stables, and extensive facilities for the agistment and training of horses.
Campdrafting is a uniquely Australian sport, developed from a recreational activity in rural areas. The sport requires excellent skill and horsemanship, and cleverness to select a cow that will run well, but is not too fast for the horse.

Last year's winner, Pete Comiskey drove from far North Queensland and won more than $100,000. This year the prizes are even bigger. Willinga Park are offering the biggest prize pool in campdrafting history, $275,000.
If you've never seen campdrafting before, it's exciting to see. You'll watch as Australia's best stock men, and women go into a yard on horseback, separate one cow from six others and then drive that beast, by itself, on a course around two pegs and through a gate.
But, that ride must showcase the horse's training and a rider's own highly-tuned skills.
Even if you don't know much about campdrafting, you will still enjoy a day out at Willinga Park.
The picturesque gardens will be open for bush walks and throughout the weekend, the Willinga Park team has planned a lineup that everyone can enjoy.
It's going to be a fun day out for families with a great selection of food, a jumping castle and face painting on Saturday for the kids. Saturday night Chalky White will take the stage to celebrate the end of another great campdraft.
