In April, 35 men met to raise funds for local charity and to network socially at the inaugural Men@Work Social Network luncheon held at Tallwood Restaurant in Mollymook.
The event raised $1550 for the Milton Hospital Cancer Outpatients Appeal Men's Health and Cancer Support Group.
Given it was the first event we organised, we were very pleased with the support we received and the money raised, organiser Terry Hanrahan of Milton said.
"A great result for the social groups first effort," he said.
"Matt from Tallwood served up a superb luncheon with marched wines. Bidding for the various auction items gave everyone a good laugh whilst generating money for a good cause."
The next event will be a dinner to be held at the Tree House Café on Wednesday 29 May, 6pm for 6.30pm, so please put this in your diary if you plan to attend.
Mr Hanrahan advised that other events were planned for July, November (Melbourne Cup lunch) and February - a partner's event .
To be on the invitation list for the May dinner, or if know of anyone who you think would be interested in attending Men@Work Social Network gatherings advise Peter Hoy of their email address by contacting Peter at peter@gardenlifestyle.com.au.
