With a depleted team, the Giants put up a brave fight but were unable to stop the Dockers in a one-sided game. Spirits remained high though throughout the game and despite the score, all the players enjoyed themselves.
With the advantage of a little extra time, the Dockers took this opportunity to get back to the basics of AFL and focused on the concept of possession and simple ball movement.
Some excellent on-ball work in the first couple of quarters by our mid's Benny, Connor, both Jacks and Sam helped to move the ball out of the centre of the ground and kick to our leading forwards. It was a great effort all round with prolific goal scoring by the team.
Special mentions to Duke (6 goals!), Harry (3, with a great snap in the deep forward pocket), Jack W (2), Jacob (2) and also Eva for kicking her first of many goals for the season and playing two full games of football. Game awards to Jacob, Jack W and Eva.
Great thanks to Jye and Duke for also playing two full games and again showing how to get it done in the forward line. A well deserved win.

Under 11's Mixed coach's report:
The Under 11s took on Nowra Giants and were well in charge of the game by half-time. Jye, Harry and Duke kicked multiple goals and all players got to excel in different field positions.
In the second half, some Dockers took the opportunity to play against their mates, with Tom, Arlo and Jye giving the Giants a real boost.
We welcomed two new players to the team, Theon and Jacob, who contributed well in their first game. Jess, Zara and Arlo played brilliantly and won the Bakers Delight "Players of the Round".
U13's Girls coach's report:
The nerves were high before the debut game of the Ulladulla Dockers U13 girls team. Kids who had never played before and trained only once, took the field against a Nowra team who really were Giants!
Under the calm guidance of coach Sean and with strong leadership by the older girls, the Dockers played superbly.
Our talls, Eva and Tilly were strong all over the field, Jess and Zara backed up well after a full game in the Under 11s, Tas was great on the ball, and Rosie almost kicked a goal which was caught on the line.
Great tackling by everyone who fought hard against a bigger and more experienced team, and thanks to Eva who played tirelessly and was a great role model for the younger girls.
The Bakers Delight "Players of the Round" were Eva, Jess and Tas.
