Slow Food South Coast is organising a gala fundraiser event to support local producers, and everyone is invited.
The gala afternoon will be held in June at The Old Church in Milton, including food, entertainment, a silent auction, raffle and lucky door prizes.
Matt Upson, a local chef, and owner of Tallwood Eatery, is designing and presenting the menu, which will feature Spanish tapas and paella.
Net proceeds from the event will go to the 2019 Producers Grant - Rosie Cupitt explained the grant provided funds to local producers to invest in their business.
"Slow Food South Coast has sponsored local producers by means of a Producers Grant for the past four years, supplying much needed funds to help make those producers more sustainable and successful," she said.
"With the current ongoing drought, even our local producers are doing it tough, so that's why we are going all out to raise as much money as possible.
"Slow Food believes that local small scale producers are of crucial importance to the creation of a better local food community."
She said the group has given more than $20,000 to small-scale, local producers so far, including Kraken Sourdough at St. Georges Basin, Spotted Gum Farm at Wandandian, Milton Farm Shop and Cooper Growing, also at Milton.
