Sunday, June 9, dawned bright and relatively warm at 13 degrees in Milton, just as the Rats headed off for a run to Narrawallee and returning to Milton.

After a short warm-up lap around Milton the Rats headed down Matron Porter Drive towards Narrawallee and up the long hill out of Frogs Hollow.
Not much fun being had there!
Pushing on a little further the Rats reached the comms tower and regrouped, some continuing from there to Narrawallee through the bush, and some, looking for a shorter run, headed back up to Milton to complete an 8km total distance.
Those runners pushing on all the way to Narrawallee ran a loop back out of Narrawallee, having a bit of an adventure traversing through some fairly swampy low lying ground, as you can see in the photograph, and then retraced their steps up to the tower and back to Milton to complete a 13km run.
The Rats running group welcomes any new guests to come along this week.
It is a great time of year to run with a group and have that extra motivation to start the day right with good exercise and company.
During the week, runs begin at 6am, from Narrawalle Inlet on Tuesdays, Ulladulla McDonalds on Wednesdays, and Mollymook Surf Club on Fridays.
Various, special locations are chosen for Sunday runs which start at 6.30am.
