The local theatre production group are calling on performers aged 13-plus to audition for the show Evie and the Birdman.
The story is a silly, sweet, funny, dramatic all-Australian musical, Milton Follies member Ruth Myers said.
"It follows the story of Lester and his best friend Evie, who set off from their small country town to seek fame and fortune," Ruth said.
"Unfortunately, Lester cuts Evie loose as he signs with the B.I.G corporation and Miss Yahoohow. Evie returns home heartbroken, while Lester is turned unwittingly into 'The Birdman', a character designed solely to fail and drive the company's stock down."
The music is written by John Field, an original Cockroach member and writer for the Wiggles. The music is fun, catchy and and will get you dancing, Ms Myers said.
Auditions will be from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, June 27 and Monday, July 1 at the CWA Hall, Milton. Younger performers will be considered if they bring a parent to also be in the show.
