In a manic afternoon, four rescue helicopters were called to the Shoalhaven in a little over two and a half hours on Saturday afternoon as NSW Ambulance paramedics faced a series of emergencies.
Around 1.30pm ambulance crews from Ulladulla responded to a call a man had fallen from a horse, north west of the township, at Slaughterhouse Road and been trodden on.
The 44-year-old man suffered suspected lower spinal injuries and was airlifted by the Toll NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter 208 to Wollongong Hospital for further treatment.
