Vicki Mahood will host five free 10-minute sessions for groups of three to four people from 2pm on Monday, July 15 at Capital Chemist Ulladulla.
Ms Mahood will be guiding people diagnosed with any type of diabetes through self-management tools and available services. Ms Mahood was the ACT's CDE in 2016.
"To have her coming to our chemist is amazing," staff member Pieta Newport said.
The information sessions kick-off a week of a fundraising the chemist is doing for the DANII Foundation.
Since 2012 the DANII Foundation has lobbied the Federal Government to ensure the latest continuous glucose monitoring devices and technology are affordable and available for all Australians with type one diabetes.
Chemist staff Laree Stewart and Pieta Newport have also set-up a variety of fundraising stalls with all funds to go the foundation.
A jellybean guessing competition, colouring competition for children up to 12-year-old as well handmade crafts, cupcakes and goods will be available to purchase from the store.
Bookings are essential for the information sessions as there are limited spots. To book phone 4455 3335 or see Laree Stewart at the chemist.
If you miss out on a booking visit staff members who will offer instructions and demonstrations on the latest continuous glucose monitoring devices. National Diabetes Week runs from July 14 to July 20.
