The next generation used song to share the voice and celebrate the language of the Yuin Nation at the Ngulla NAIDOC Festival on Friday, July 12.
The annual NAIDOC Week event, held on the lawns of the Ulladulla Civic Centre, drew hundreds of friends and families to celebrate Aboriginal culture and reflect on this year's NAIDOC theme - Voice. Treaty. Truth - Let's work together for a shared future.
Ulladulla Public School students stole the hearts of the audience when the NAIDOC Choir sung the chorus of I Am Australian in the Dhurga language.
Student Jessie Wardrop led the choir through the song. She had a bevy of children backing her in both Dhurga and English at different choruses.
Other notable performances from the festival included the Doonooch Dancers, an animal show and the Gadhu Dreaming Band.
The festival, hosted by the Ulladulla Local Aboriginal Land Council, also featured sponsor's and not-for-profit organisation's stall as well as games and rides for children.
