Unfortunately there was no report for week 1/7/19 to 7/7/19. Weather was not kind to us.
Tuesday 9/7/19 we were warmly welcomed by President Cheryl who wished Gerry Miller & Maureen Fletcher happy birthday. President Cheryl congratulated the ladies who entered the District Triples. Some of our teams were lucky and played the 1st round on home greens. Francis, Carol and Jane progressed to 2nd round but were beaten by Greenwell Point. Unfortunately no teams from our club were successful this year but enjoyed the experience.
The final of our Major Consistency between Kath Fraser and Toni Handley was set down for Thursday 11/7/19. This was to be a closely contested game. Rink winners were Gerry Miller, Maureen Fletcher, and Wendy Bazett with the runners up being Krishan Curran, Robyn Seib and Bev Lipensky. Raffle winners were Robyn Seib, Bev Lipensky and Margaret McDonald. Great to see you on the greens today Margaret.
Thursday 11/7/19: Bowlers were welcomed by President Cheryl. With a dismal start to the day, cold winds and overcast saw only 14 ladies turn up to bowl. Some members opted to watch the final of Major Consistency. President Cheryl welcomed Sandra back from her holiday in Vietnam. We were reminded nominations for all positions on the committee close Thursday 18/7/19. AGM is Monday 26/8/19. Lyn Rippon from match introduced the Major Consistency final game between Kath and Toni. This was a great game of skill, technique, friendship and sportsmanship. Wonderful game ladies, great to watch, Toni being the final winner. Rink winners were Toni Hanley and Cheryl Davies as marker. Runners up were Carol Monte and Eve Jones. Raffle winners were Chris Louis, Kath Fraser and Lis Wootten.

Mollymook Men
Halfway through winter now, lengthening days but no warmer and the gale force winds last week made bowling difficult especially for the semi-finals of the Major/Minor Pairs. The two matches saw Sid Brand & John Paul handle the westerly much better than Ron Wall & Dave Harrison to win convincingly, 23/9. Likewise Gary McQuire (S) with Darcy Nelson were outstanding, defeating Terry Hill & Andrew Jarvis 33/7. The date for the final is not known at present as the District Major Pairs is on at Mollymook this weekend (July 20/21). SOCIAL: Wednesday's bowlers welcomed back Michael Wheeler after a long absence. Playing lead wth O.T Hill (S) & Krusty, they won the lucky rink $20 vouchers with a 23/11 win over Jack (S), Robin & young Ivan. Noteworthy was that Gary Allen was promoted to second in the Wall/Crowe team enabling a strong 27/14 win over the Harro/Scoop/Bootsy team.
Friday Open Pairs: The jackpot had reached $480, an enticement for the 40 bowlers, including several welcomed from Milton-Ulladulla & L.Conjola to score well. Again unfortunately it avoided them, however John Wilton with Mark Sommerville won the $120 weekly prize with a score of 16 on the five random ends. They played against & of course shared with Ray Flinn & Dennis Jones (score: +7). Joe Lapinski & Bob Boyd won the KENO voucher whilst Marks HB SHOUT winners somehow got lost in the din.
