Shifting to a new venue and format in 2018 for the long established event was a bold move and these changes allowed for a reinvigorated community event that the 160 participants enjoyed last November.
"It was truly the embodiment of community spirit and all who attend would have taken some very special moments away from the day.
Michelle Babington of the Ulladulla Civic Centre accepted the award on behalf of the committee.
"We were very excited and surprised to receive the Award for Innovation, and we are looking forward to building on this success for the 2019 Relay," Ms Babington.
This year's Relay For Life promises to be another fantastic community event. It will be held on November 23 at the Ulladulla Civic Centre.
