Mollymook product Kalindi Commerford has been announced in the initial 24-person squad for the Canberra Chill's women's side, ahead of the inaugural Hockey One season.

The Ulladulla High School alumna is joined in the squad by former Hockeyroo Brooke Peris, cousin of former Olympic Games representative Nova Peris, as well as other notable players Anna Flanagan, Edwina Bone and Naomi Evans.
Rounding out Terry Evans' squad for the upcoming season are Bella Apps, Claudia Apps, Lucy Balfour, Sassie Economos, Mikayla Evans, Naomi Evans, Talei Forrest, Sophie Gaughan, Laura Gray, Rebecca Lee, Olivia Martin, Aliesha Price, Emily Robson, Grace Ronnfeldt, Jess Smith, Peta Sutherland, Tina Taseska, Taylor Thomson, Ellie Toole and Shelley Watson.
Commerford's side will open their Hockey One, which replaces the Australian Hockey League (AHL) competition, campaign against the Brisbane Blaze on Sunday, September 29, before matches against Sydney Pride (October 5), Perth Thundersticks (October 12), Melbourne Hockey Club (October 18), Tassie Tigers (October 20) and Adelaide Fire (October 26) - with finals commencing on November 9-10.
