The Milton Public School's team of Thomas Hatcher-Nee, William Hatcher-Nee, Maggie Schultz, Claire Donnelly and Grace Donnelly faced Fairy Meadow Dem School in Fairy Meadow.
The Milton players asserted their dominance during a long day of tennis involving eight matches which they all won with Thomas not conceding a single game all day.
Maggie had a hard fought 7-6 (10-8) win in her singles while Thomas and William outplayed their opponents winning 6 -0 in their singles matches and also in their doubles together. Claire had a 6-3 singles win and Grace and Thomas paired up for a 6-0 win in the mixed doubles. Will and Maggie claimed a 6-4 victory in their mixed doubles match and Tom and Grace won theirs 6-0.
Congratulations on succeeding in being the 2019 South Coast primary school-aged tennis champions once again.
The team then progressed to the quarter-finals against the Riverina district champions South Wagga Primary School which was held in Ulladulla on Friday, August 2. In a repeat performance Thomas and William won their singles and boys doubles matches again without dropping a game. Maggie won her singles and combined with Will to win their mixed doubles set. Tom and Grace combined again to win 6-0. The final result was 6 sets to 2 and 41 games to 15 for the Milton champions.

The South Coast team will now be training extra hard with Kevin in preparation for the semi-finals and finals of the NSW PSSA knockout events to be held in Homebush on August 26.

Results from the second round on July 29 were: Div 1 - Mennie defeated Stiller - 3 sets all 29 games to 25, Farmilo defeated Loves 4 sets to 2, Dickson defeated Rejc 4 sets to 2. In Div 2 - Dunn defeated Rasmussen 4 sets to 2 Potts defeated Donohue 4 sets to 2, Tammy won 4 sets, Clough defeated Hargreaves 3 sets each, 21 games to 22.
The team pointscores at July 29 were: Division 1 - Farmilo 13, Mennie 11, Stiller 9, Dickson 8, Loves 4, Rejc 3. Division 2 - Dunn 12, Clough 11, Rutherford 8, Potts 6, Hargreaves 5, Donohue 4, Rasmussen 2.
Next week (August 12) Jenny, Margaret and Jennie have the bye and Lee, Rhonda and Beryl are on duty.
