The club's minor pairs program kicked off this week with three games being played on a delightful Sunday afternoon. Brian Openshaw and his partner Bruce Hathaway (who looked suspiciously like Stan Croker) had a win over the pair of Scott Granger & Charlie Fucile; Simon Read and his partner Adam the angry ant also had a good win over the pair of Al Clark and Nelson Wallace; and the third game saw Rob Cattley and John Jamieson victorious over Chris Shinton and Greg Brumby. Now a few reminders for all you members who keep forgetting where the noticeboard is. The AGM is Saturday 21st Sept. Notices of motion must be forwarded to the secretary before the due date which is posted on the board; positions on the committee are becoming vacant as we speak, so please consider getting a little more involved in the club to take it to another level with a few new ideas, nomination forms will be available from the secretary in due course. The dates for the mixed pairs have been altered a little bit, so please check it out, you still have time to enter a team.
