As the score line suggests it was a dominant performance from the men. Some wayward kicking in the first quarter saw the Dockers manage 2 goals 8 behinds at the first break, but they found their radar and punished Port on the scoreboard thereafter. The third quarter was particularly impressive, an 11-goal 3-behind effort. To Port Kembla's credit they never stopped pushing the Dockers and look to have some promising youth coming through that will surely see them a much improved side next year.
Skipper Adam Clough snagged 8 goals and Lachy Moore 4, while Harrison and Caleb added 3 each. Players' player was 1 point Caleb Kersting, 2 points Matt Thompson and 3 points and best on ground Lachy Moore.
The win sees the Dockers men sit two wins clear at the top of the table with one round to play.
Meanwhile in the women's competition the Dockettes sit two wins clear at the top of the ladder. It's been a remarkable year for the girls; in their 12 played games they've kicked 505 points while letting in just 84. Their only loss came by way of forfeit due to mass injuries.
Both sides play their final game of the year away against Dapto at Fred Finch Park this coming Saturday. It will be a particularly interesting clash for the Dockettes as they've had the past three weekends off due to forfeits and the bye. We will have more details on our facebook page at www.facebook.com/Ulladulladockers regarding finals times and locations.
