It was semi-final fever at Bombers Oval last weekend as the Dockers Under 11s tried to keep there undefeated record untainted. And they did it with style!

It was 1 v 2 as the Dockers took on our southern rivals Batemans Bay Seahawks.
As expected, the first two quarters of footy were a hard-fought battle in the middle of the park with both sides playing good, hard and tough footy.
With only a couple of goals the difference at half-time, the quarter time phrase "grind them down, grind them down" was playing over and over in the players' heads.
And true to form, the U11s did exactly that, blowing the Seahawks back out to sea (if that's where they live?) in the final quarter with 5 goals to nil.
Dockers came up trumps with a resounding 61-7 win.
A lot can be said for not giving up and grinding the other team down. Great team effort U11s.
You were a pleasure to coach and deserved your ticket to the GF. Enjoy your week off, but don't rest too much.
See you next Thursday for a "Hang on, didn't we got the week off" training session ... Bahahaha.
Under 13s
Unlike the U11s, the Docker 13s were up against Bay and Basin Bombers, otherwise known as the Bombers ... 3 v 4, with the loser knocked out for good, well ... just for the 2019 season anyway.
With the Docker 13s again struggling for numbers, you wouldn't have noticed. The level of commitment and courage shown by those players who did strap on the boots was something for the history books.
After getting mercy ruled by the Bombers only two weeks before, the Dockers came out firing and made the Bombers work ridiculously hard for every point.
If there was ever a time to lift and produce your best footy during finals, the Dockers did it on Sunday.
Unfortunately the Dockers went down 45-24 despite some awesome ball movement and goal scoring into the wind. Don't ever forget they needed 22 players to beat our 14!
With that said, it is with great sadness that the U13s season 2019 has come to an end. Although we didn't have the best win-loss record, I can definitely say that I have enjoyed every second of coaching this team.
There was rarely a moment where you hung your heads down and stopped enjoying playing this awesome game. The effort you kids put in at training is a credit to you, your commitment to the club and your team mates.
I hope you all take out of this season a great camaraderie with your mates, improved skills and more passion for the game.
I wish you all the best in the off season and see you soon. I'm going to stop now as I'm getting all teary and we all know there's no time for that in AFL.
