The local branches of the Red Cross and Country Women's Association joined forces to support people who are battling harsh drought conditions.
The two groups held a movie fundraising event today (September 12) at Ulladulla's Arcadia Twin Cinemas in Rowen's Arcade.
The event was part of the "Let's Talk Drought Program" and people supported the event in huge numbers and got to see the film, Downton Abbey.
They raised over $1300 at the event.

Over 7000 grants of $3000 have been given to support people trying to survive the drought.
Families use the money to pay for things like school fees, bills, rates, to buy food and much more.
