With total prize money of almost $500,000 and $100,000 on offer at each event, the AJTL brought together 40 of the top showjumpers in Australia in 10 corporate teams, in the richest showjumping event in Australian history.
In each event, teams nominated three of their four members to participate in the 1.40-1.45m jumping competition.
The team members riding at each event had to include at least one rider under 25 years of age.
With $40,000 to the winning team and a field of riders including World Equestrian Games (WEG) representatives, Olympians, Australian Champions, winners of numerous World Cup classes and one of New Zealand's brightest young stars, the crowd could not have wished for a better spectacle.
The winner of this first event was Team Emcee Apparel, who managed to achieve a perfect score of zero penalties after each team member had ridden the course twice.
Aggregate times had to be used to separate second through fourth, as all three teams recorded just four penalties over the two rides.
Team Yandoo filled second place as they had the lowest total team time.
The host team, Team Willinga placed third and Team Equine International Airfreight came in fourth.
The winning team was made up of Amanda Madigan, riding Diamond B Vivienne, Jess Tripp and Diamond B Verona along with the youngest rider of the thirty, Jessie Rice-Ward riding CP Southern Cross.
Team Emcee Apparel was the only team to field two under 25 riders and along with their fourth team member Jennifer Wood, make up the only all female team in the Series.
The second event of the Series is scheduled for October 1 at Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
Other rounds will take place at Sale in Victoria in November and back to Sydney in December for the Series Finale
