If you felt a bit shivery this morning, you're probably not coming down with a belated winter flu - the Shoalhaven hit its lowest temperature for the month last night.
The mercury dipped to 6.9 degrees on Wednesday, October 9, according to the Bureau of Meteorology's weather observations.
It's a warning that summer is not quite here yet, with lows of seven and eight degrees predicted for the rest of the week.
Showers are also predicted for Friday and Saturday.
The chill follows short bursts of hail that hit Nowra and its surrounds about noon on Tuesday, with residents flocking to social media to report turf carpeted with icy droplets.
The southerly storms missed the southern Shoalhaven with just 1.6mm falling Ulladulla up to 9am on Wednesday, compared to 10.2mm in Nowra.
