Last Wednesday, Milton CWA members elected new officer bearers and celebrated life membership for two patrons at the branch's 72nd birthday.

The branch had a productive 12 months, attending to many in-house projects and organising a number of successful fundraising events, with proceeds being sent to head office. It is also proud to have helped distribute $13 million in grants for drought-stricken farmers.
Officer bearers for 2019/20 are president Jenny Coulston; secretary Carole Windley; treasurer Sandy Aureli; vice-presidents Joan Clark, Kerry Ferrar, Jeanne James; ag and environment Ollie Cool; cultural Noeleen Bartlett; publicity officer Sunnee Ord; handicraft Anny Saunders (support Alice Ashby and Joan Clark); cookery Johanne Holt and international officer Fran Anderson.
Life membership was also presented to Noeleen Bartlett and Joan Clark. They were both surprised to see their faces on the 72nd birthday cake, decorated by Jo Holt.
An upcoming event members are looking forward to is the Branch Cookery Competition, held on Wednesday, October 30. Entries submitted to the hall at 55 Wason Street, Milton, between 8.30am to 9.30am and open judging commences at 10am. For a full schedule email your request to miltoncwa@gmail.com.
