Creator John Field, formerly of The Cockroaches, has announced he will be visiting Milton Theatre to watch the Follies' take on the musical he wrote at the turn of the millennium.
"We put it on many years ago (2001) and it was a lot of fun doing that," he said.
"I think we're up to about 20 with the Follies doing it."
John said he liked to make as many productions of Evie and the Birdman as possible because it was a good tool for writing.
"You actually watch and go 'oh I'll change that'," he said.
"It helps you refine it and change it. Some things are re-written in the second act so I'll be interested to see how that goes."

While some casts may be stronger in some areas and weaker in other, actors and directors play an extremely important role in musical theatre, he said.
"I've seen some lovely productions over the years. Some really top-notch jobs. You're along for the ride just like the audience."
As a member of the Cockroaches, John was recorded on their four studio albums. In 1991, Anthony Field and Jeff Fatt left the band to form the Wiggles and John has helped write much of their music.
He's also written another show called Who Loves Me and is currently recording works for a solo album.
While he has a busy schedule around gigs and recording, John said he was looking forward to surrendering himself as an audience member for the upcoming show.
"I just want to say good luck. I will be there to watch it. I'll be proud of whatever they do."
